The Institute of Sustainability Management and Environmental Education (GISMEE) at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The appointment rank will be determined based on the candidate’s academic qualifications and experience.
GISMEE is dedicated to advancing research and education in sustainability science and management, with a strong emphasis on issues related to climate change. Our mission is to foster talent at the master’s and doctoral levels by equipping students with professional knowledge and interdisciplinary skills to address complex sustainability challenges.
We welcome applicants who hold a doctoral degree in fields related to sustainability science, sustainability management, sustainable innovation, or sustainability transitions. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for teaching and a strong track in interdisciplinary research and cross-sectoral collaboration. Candidates with expertise that bridges disciplines and contributes to innovative, integrative solutions for sustainability are especially encouraged to apply.

• Position Title: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
• Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree from an accredited domestic or international university.
• Academic Expertise & Qualities:
We seek candidates with expertise in sustainability science and management, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects. Relevant areas may include—but are not limited to—governance, resource economics, financial accounting, and environmental risk and management from both the natural and social sciences. Experiences in linking these areas with corporate sustainability practices is prioritized. Applicants should demonstrate strong potential for academic research, a genuine passion for teaching, and the capacity to promote interdisciplinary and international collaboration. In your application, please clearly articulate how your academic background and research agenda align with GISMEE’s strategic goals, and how your contributions can support and enhance the future development of the institute.
